Dr Khalid Ayed (Abu Hdaib) – He passed away in May 2020.
PhD in humanities from St. Joseph University, Beirut- Lebanon, an MA in History from the American University of Beirut and a BA in Economics from the same university.
He has worked for 26 years at the Institute for Palestine Studies in Beirut as head of the Documentation Department, the Department of Israeli Studies and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Palestinian Studies (in Arabic). He was also a teacher of cultural studies at the Lebanese American University, Beirut.
He was the director of economic studies at the Jordan Center for Research and Policy Dialogue and the founder and editor of the women’s magazine Al-Rozana.
He wrote and published articles, books, studies and translations about the Palestinian cause, Arab-Zionist conflict, the Salafi Jihadi movements, the “Arab Spring”, Marxism, women and popular history. He participated at conferences at the League of Arab States and the United Nations, and other international forums in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, dealing with the Palestinian issue and the Arab-Zionist conflict. Sadly, he passed away in late May 2020.
