Victor Kattan is Assistant Professor in Public International Law at the University of Nottingham School of Law where he is the co-director of the Nottingham International Law and Security Centre. From 2026-2027, he is the Smuts Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge based at Wolfson College and the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law where he is completing his Oxford University Press book on apartheid as a crime against humanity. His previous works include The Palestine Question in International Law (2008) and The Breakup of India and Palestine: The Causes and Legacies of Partition (2023, with Amit Ranjan). Victor is a legal adviser to the Britain Owes Palestine campaign, which seeks an apology and reparations from the British Government for breaches of international law in Palestine from 1917-1948.
